National Football Post is reporting that the Cowboys are bringing in Tyron Smith, OT, USC for a closer look. Smith is being projected to be the first tackle taken in the draft.
USC blue-chip offensive tackle Tyron Smith is scheduled to visit the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings, according to league sources with knowledge of the situation.Smith didn’t work out at the NFL scouting combine other than bench pressing 225 pounds 29 times as he was still recovering from lateral meniscus surgery. The 20-year-old is on schedule to work out at the Trogans’ March 30 Pro Day workout on campus. Not big into drafting players coming off surgery, I wonder how serious the injury was, I’d hate to go through the Jacob Rogers fiasco all over again. That’s my only concern.
