Never say never, but the odds are stacking against Dez Bryant playing when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Bryant is considered “unlikely” to play on Sunday, though the star receiver will attempt to “test” his injured knee during practice on Friday.

Bryant did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. The Cowboys have yet to rule him out for Sunday, but it will take an encouraging day at practice on Friday for Bryant to have a chance at playing against the Bengals.
Bryant suffered his injury—which has been deemed a hairline fracture in his knee—during the Cowboys’ win over the Chicago Bears in Week 3. The ailment forced him to miss last Sunday’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers, and it’s growing more and more likely that he’ll have to sit a second week as the knee recovers.
Bryant has 11 catches for 150 yards and one touchdown over three games in 2016.
