The Bruins are now under 24 hours away from the start of the 2017 Training Camp and still, no deal has been made to starting right wing David Pastrnak. Pastrnak continues to be a restricted free agent with training camp kicking off tomorrow.
But both side of the table are still communicating as the deadline is near as Sportsnet’s Chris Johntson reported that they are still in discussions. Johnston also reported that Pastrnak isn’t even in Boston yet and is still in the Czech Republic where he will stay until a deal is reached.
There's been a lot of dialogue between the #bruins and Pastrnak's camp in the last 24 hours. Still discussing deals of varying lengths.

Rumor has it the Bruins are offering a contract in the 7 million range but that is not enough for Pastrnak as he wants to be in the 8 years, 8 million per year range. It is also rumored that Pastrnak is also fielding offers from multiple teams in the KHL.
Only time will tell to see if the Bruins can close an important deal before the start of the preseason. The Bruins are scheduled to kick off the preseason on Monday against Montreal.
