The absence of Patriots Linebacker Rob Ninkovich has not gone unnoticed by fans as his presence at the first four days of camp has been missed. The team is scheduled to hold a press conference at Gillette Stadium at 12:15 pm on Sunday where we all expect them to make the announcement final.
Ninkovich will end his career with 460 Tackles, 46 Sacks, 5 INTs, 10 Forced Fumbles, 14 Fumble Recoveries, 2 touchdowns, and a 2 time Super Bowl Champion.
Ninkovich was picked up by the Patriots in August of 2009, and he played almost every game only missing one in his seven years with the Patriots. Ninkovich earned the nickname the “Jets Killer” by Bill Belichick after a big game where he got a half-sack, forced-fumble, and a fumble-recovery all in one game well playing the Jets in 2012.
With Ninkoich gone the Patriots will not only be down a roster spot but they will also be down a leader.
