Rozier, Hunter Guiding C’s

Two games into Summer League and the C’s are 2-0 looking for win number 3 against San Antonio tonight but things are looking up for the C’s, who have been rolling. Terry Rozier, second year point guard out of Louisville, has been shining for the C’s as he’s been averaging 17 points a game so far and grabbing 6 boards a game and for a 6’2 guard to be that aggressive down in the paint shows the heart and toughness Rozier brings to this young Celtics team.

Rozier has been gaining attention but behind the arc, second year G R.J. Hunter has been finding the touch and lighting up the scoreboard with his overwhelming 3 point shooting on July 4th as he dropped 17 and went 3-6 from 3 and took a total of 12 attempts shooting. It’s only one game but Hunter will be more of a scoring threat in the coming games.

James Young has been a name people keep forgetting as he is still only 20 years old and is entering his 3rd year with the C’s but last game against Utah, Young showed that you should not sleep on him to be released from the C’s. A 17 point performance against Utah while playing 28 minutes (4-5 from 3) and is accurately scoring the ball.  Through two games, Young has gone 6-7 from behind the arc and has been playing a exceptional amount of minutes (23, 28 minutes). Young is doing really well for himself and with the young guns around him should pan out for him scoring bigger numbers.

One name that has been flying under the radar is Holy Cross G Malcolm Miller. A legit scoring guard at 6’7, Miller brings length and shooting to a team that has scoring written all over. Although Jaylen Brown has been getting all the talk, Miller and Providence F Ben Bentil to me are the flying under the radar prospects that have been quietly making a name for themselves. Miller is the homestate product that has been spending time in the D-League with the Maine Red Claws (C’s affiliate team) while Bentil was drafted in the second round out of nearby Providence College.
