After the Sounders 3-1 win against Toronto FC last week saw the MLS return to CenturyLink Field, the Sounders now face the Houston Dynamo, which is sure to be a great match. With the Sounders bouncing back after their CCL elimination, I expect Seattle will be hoping to keep up their winning ways when they entertain last season’s MLS cup finalists.
They may face a few problems come kick off with the absence of playmaker Mauro Rosales, who took a knock in the win against Toronto and also new signing Eddie Johnson. There is also some doubt whether or not Adam Johansson will be able to start, against what is set to be a fully fit Dynamo side.
Seattle will be hoping that their key players will be able to keep Houston under control with the likes of Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, facing a tough test against Brian Ching and the in form David Estrada hoping to continue his goal scoring against the Geoff Cameron defense. With Houston having to play a long stretch of road games, waiting for the completion of their new stadium, they will be looking to carry on the run they have had in their opening games, keeping two clean sheets and taking 6 points from a possible 6.
With Estrada picking up form and the limelight of his Toronto performance, I feel that this game is made for another striker who knows where to find the net, Freddy Montero. I believe that it will be his game to start his scoring for the season, in what I hope is a great and entertaining match up.
