It is now official new Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney will give Claude Julien a chance to keep his job as head coach of the Boston Bruins. The announcement was made Friday afternoon by Sweeney. Julien will be coming into his ninth year with a 351-192 record as head coach of the Bruins.

After coming off of what was Julien’s worst season as Bruins head coach it will be very interesting to see what changes will be made. I am hoping to see a more offensive team we need to get the puck in the net. That was our biggest problem last season and it needs to change. Our defense is not awful, yes we could use another defenseman but I think there are bigger problems to get done first. This will be a very critical off season for the Bruins as Sweeney will try to get the team back on track and in the playoffs. The first step of that process will be on June 26- 27 when the Bruins will draft their 2015 rookie class.
