1. The star: An Introduction

This is really up for debate considering he wasn’t in a Cowboys uniform, but it’s the moment that Owens let the NFL know he arrived.
Owens already had a thousand yard season and a couple multi-score games under his belt his first four years in the league. But in 2000, he would turn on the jets en route to his first All-Pro selection. That all kicked off with him standing in the Cowboys star at the 50-yard line.
In Owens’ first visit to Texas Stadium, he hauled in two touchdowns and 51 yards to help the 49ers top off the home team 41-24. After years of coming up short against the Cowboys in the 90s, the 49ers were finally kicking Dallas to the side. To further plant that ownership, Owens ran to the middle of the field to stand tall at the center of attention in the famed blue star to celebrate his first of two scores.
Emmitt Smith would return to the star after a score himself, only for Owens to reclaim the spot but not before Dallas safety George Teague put the hit stick on Owens.
Just like Owens, it was a moment handcrafted for the world to enjoy, mock, and celebrate.
