Sports websites in and or around the Boston area have gotten insight into Marcus Smart getting traded. There was an offer to the Philadelphia 76ers for them to receive Smart along with the Celtics 16th and 28th picks of this year’s draft and in exchange we receive PF/C Nerlens Noel and the 3rd pick of the Draft. It certainly seems enticing for Ainge and the Sixers GM but here are other possible ideas with Smart that I came up with.
Philly- Celtics receive Noel with the 3rd pick and one of there 2nd round picks. We ship Smart and Gerald Wallace to Philly to provide leadership as a veteran along with the 28th pick.
Magic- Send Smart and Gigi Datome to Magic with both first rounders in exchange for Nikola Vucevic and the 5th pick.
Miami- Send Smart, Gigi Datome, and Jared Sullinger to the Heat for Hassan Whiteside and the 10th pick.
