It was well worth the wait as last night we finally got to see 22 year old left handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez make his MLB debut. Rodriguez in the minors played. played 101 games going 29-30 with a 3.23 ERA pitching 534.2 innings.With stats like that Sox fans were all wondering why he wasn’t in the majors yet especially with the pitching we have scene so far this year.
But it was well worth the wait as Rodriguez pitched a gem of a game last night vs. the Texas Rangers. Rodriguez finished the night pitching 7.2 innings giving up no runs, 3 hits and 2 walks. The Red Sox went on to win the game 5-1.
Yes I know it was only his first career start but have the Red Sox found that new ace? I am very excited to see how Rodriguez plays out over the rest of the season.The Sox will play again tonight at 8:05 as Steven Wright will take on Yovani Gallardo.
