The New Orleans Pelicans have traded reserve small forward Quincy Pondexter & a 2nd round pick plus cash to the Chicago Bulls according to CSNChicago.com. The Pells obviously didn’t have enough confidence in Pondexter after waiting on him to get healthy the last 2 seasons.
The move was to free up almost $6 million in capital to address the small forward position. The Pelicans have been in contact with former forward Dante Cunningham about returning but are in a competition with Minnesota for his services.
The team did bring in free agent forwards: Josh Smith, Ma
rtell Webster & Chase Budinger for a look according to reports.
This ends Quincy Pondexter second stint with the team as he averaged 5.3 ppg 43% fg & 41% from 3 land in 111 games for the Pells. I would like to wish Q-Pond good luck with his next team.
