This Week In Dolphins News

It's a short week for the Dolphins as they hit the field again this Thursday in what might be a scary Halloween matchup vs. the Bengals.

Despite the short week, slow and quiet is not the words I would use to describe the what's gone on in the Dolphins organization.

Here is a quick recap in case you missed everything going on in Dolphins world.

Mike Pouncey making headlines for all the wrong reasons

SI did a great job recapping the Mike Pouncey news which has made national headlines. Sorry, Dolphins fans but this story isn't going away. Dolphins Exec VP Dawn Apotne and Dolphins PR chief Harvey Greene will have their handfuls getting all the dirt they can on this story. Read it here.

The trade deadline comes and goes without any movement from Jeff Ireland

While the Miami Herald reported that Jeff Ireland was picking up the phone making calls Tuesday he simply could not find any takers.

The Dolphins placed WR Brandon Gibson on IR however have yet to announce who they plan to promote from the practice squad to take the 53rd and final roster spot. Ryan Spadola is the best bet to be promoted.

Tyson Clabo to return to the starting lineup

Dolphins RT Jonathan Martin has missed 2 straight practices with an illness, it is likely at this point Clabo gets the start on Thursday.

Dolphins players beginning to question Mike Sherman's play calling

Well it seems the players have joined the fan base on this one, be sure to read NFLN Jeff Darlington for the full story. You can read it here.

That about covers this week, the Dolphins have a do or die game this Thursday where if they can't get out of their slump you can pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye.
