Irony perhaps, as today Michigan travels to East Lansing a city which Bronco fan will next year travel to.
Six hours later the Mighty Bronco’s face their first MW game on the road vs. another team of green only dressed in white which is all to fitting as the men who stormed the palace in Versailles dressed as women wearing white they too shall be thwarted only this time at the gate. Colorado State certainly is playing well at 3-2 , however their loss to San Jose State only shows they will not be able to wither the storm the Might Bronco’s will certainly pound them with. Colorado has belief and some play makers but there is no Mirabeau among them.
Boise State may not travel to Fort Collins anytime soon, if ever, with the future clearly being the Big East this maybe a onetime match up and I believe both teams know this, so look for a real battle for two quarters and as the half nears a close Kellen Moore and the Bronco offense will look to take it to the house and send the Rams to the locker room in gloom and doom.
Michigan State on the other hand looks to be a blow out from the get MSU has no offence and despite what other might think after their defensive struggle against OSU last week MSU’s D just isn’t that good. Denard Robinson will shred State D and Michigan’s D will be in MSU’s backfield all day.
This will be a great game for Boise State fans to watch and certainly from a Boise point of view a MSU victory would be beneficial, however this week it’s just not in the cards. A 4th loss to little sister is just not possible, however it does offer Bronco fans a chance to look closer to the venue they will travel to in less than 11 months. So Bronco’s fans look closely at the team that will be our main non con competition next year so you might be better prepared for the future challenge.
So today Bronco Nation we can chant Go Blue and death to the third estate!
Big East football links: what does Boise State offer the Big East?
There’s been plenty of chatter lately regarding which teams the Big East may or may not invite from other conferences to help increase its quickly dwindling numbers.
A big question hanging over the heads of conference officials is whether or not they can make enough additions, and that these additions are good enough, to make sure the league keeps its current automatic qualifier status in the BCS.
One of the schools rumored to possibly be the apple of the Rhode Island-based conference’s eye is consistent BCS buster, and current Mountain West Conference member, Boise State.
In a post on ESPN’s Big East Blog, Andrea Adelson wonders if adding Boise St. would be a good move for the conference.
There are two benefits to adding Boise State: credibility and trying to maintain AQ status. The Broncos would essentially do for the league what TCU would have done had it stayed in the Big East.
…
The reality is that the Big East has no idea today whether it will remain an AQ conference. That would be the major, and possibly only selling point for a school as far away as Boise State.
