Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce trolled Marquette King in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game by busting out his signature “pony” celebration dance and doing it in the Raiders punter’s face (watch here).
It happened when Tyreek Hill returned a punt from King and took it 78 yards to the house for a touchdown. Kelce was seen doing King’s dance at the end of the play, and the two had some words.
Kelce was asked about the exchange after the game by Michael Irvin, and he revealed how it went down.
“[King] told me I didn’t have any rhythm” he said.
Kelce then added that he looked at King and said, “We both know that’s a lie.”
That’s about as good as it gets as far as on-field exchanges between a punter and tight end go. Regarding the dance moves, though, Kelce is pretty good, but King clearly isn’t impressed.
We have an idea for how to settle this once and for all: a dance-off.
