Tuukka Rask Named NHL’s #1 Star Of The Week

Alumni

Very little surprise here but Tuukka Rask has been named the NHL’s number one star of the week. Rask this past week started four games in which he won all four of two of them being shutouts. He also recorded a crazy .075 goals against average and a .970 save percentage.

Rask’s weeks started off with a demanding 4-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres in wich he made 34 saves and lead the Bruins to a victory. he then went on to save 15-of-17 shots against the Columbus Blue Jackets the Bruins won that one 5-to-2.

The Bruins then hit the road to play back-to-back road games. The traveling would not phase Rask who stopped 31-of-32 in a 2-1 win over the Coyotes. On the second day of the back-to-back Rask would be an absolute wall stopping all 20 of Colorados shots leading the Bruins to the fourth win of the week.

The Bruins are currently 16-10-6 and are seven points behind the Canadiens for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins will now have some time off before playing the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.
