The Chiefs were a play away from possibly finally putting an end to the Patriots dynasty — or at least the end of the Tom Brady-Rob Gronkowski connection, but a costly penalty in the AFC title game called on Chiefs linebacker Dee Ford destroyed their hopes of doing so.
Ford was whistled for being in the neutral zone on a play with roughly one minute remaining in the game, which nullified the interception that would have sealed the victory. Instead, the Chiefs went on to lose in overtime, and Ford’s mental error looms large.
We’ve all seen the play, but a new video shows of what happened afterward, featuring Ford asking a Chiefs coach if he was actually lined up offside.
