Don’t look now, but the Chargers could potentially end up with the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and they could possibly get star tight end Hunter Henry back for the playoffs as well.

Henry tore his ACL on May 22, and has been on the PUP list since that time, but he could be activated in the coming weeks. The reason he never went on injured reserve was because the team believed he could possibly return to action in time for the postseason, and that apparently is still the plan.

As far as updates go, Henry has been jogging since September, and he was even seen warming up on the field before Thursday’s game against the Chiefs, as you can see below.

Not only that, Henry practiced on Monday, although it’s unclear if he was a full go/how much action he actually saw.

There’s still no timetable for Henry’s return as of yet, but it’s starting to look as if he’ll be back for the playoffs, which would be huge for the Chargers offense — which has already looked dynamic this season, especially once Melvin Gordon returns to action.

If Henry, Gordon and Keenan Allen are all healthy for the playoffs — watch out.
