Redskins safety Montae Nicholson won’t play in the team’s upcoming matchup with the Titans, due to an alleged assault, and now we know why, due to video of the incident, which recently surfaced.

The video — obtained by TMZ Sports — shows Nicholson on a Virginia street corner, at around 2 a.m. local time (what was he doing out that late on a Monday?).

In it, Nicholson is seen wearing a red hoodie, initially restrained by a man. He then fights through the guy, then begins throwing a number of punches at a man wearing a jean jacket, including a brutal knockout punch.

Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said the team is aware of the video, but that he hasn’t spoken with Nicholson yet. There’s no decision on if Nicholson will play in Week 17 and beyond (if the Redskins make the postseason), but he will be out of action on Sunday.

That was disturbing, to say the least.
