MLB fans saw a role reversal from Mikie Mahtook and Alex Gordon in Monday’s Labor Day game.
Mahtook tried to rob Jose Ramirez of a home run in the first inning of Sunday’s matchup, but he misplayed the ball and ended up smacking it over the wall.
So Mahtook tried to make up for it on Monday, but Gordon made sure that didn’t happen.
Mahtook crushed a pitch to left field in the fourth inning, which seemed like a surefire home run that would’ve got the Tigers back in the game. But Gordon had other ideas. He timed his jump perfectly and snagged the ball at the wall.
