Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw came in to close out the Nationals’ season in Game 5 of the NLCS, and he did not disappoint.

Many questioned whether or not he’d be able to get it done on just one day of rest, but Kershaw shut them up quickly.

He got arguably the hottest hitter in the playoffs — Daniel Murphy — out on an easy fly ball. And then, facing Wilmer Difo, Kershaw put him to sleep with his nasty 12-to-6 curveball, clinching the series for the Dodgers. Here’s what it looked like.

Another strikeout by Kershaw, and another choke by a Dusty Baker-managed team. It was Kershaw’s first career save at the professional level, too.
