Saints running back Mark Ingram wanted to finish off a drive that he was the workhorse on during Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, but things didn’t go his way.
Ingram carried the ball 17 times for 78 yards in the game and helped take the pressure off Drew Brees, as well as ensuring that the Saints were balanced on offense.
On one particular drive, though, Ingram was in on nearly every down, and, understandably, he wanted to finish it off. But Sean Payton pulled him out of the game, even with a first-and-goal scenario from the two-yard line, and he didn’t get the opportunity.

No one likes getting a touchdown vultured, whether it as Ingram or his fantasy football owners.
