Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers was none too pleased about the play call on the team’s final offensive play of the game against the Raiders on Sunday, and he let offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt know about it.

San Diego was faced with a fourth-and-15 situation, and Whisenhunt dialed up a pass play, with Antonio Gates as the primary read. Unfortunately, the Raiders were one step ahead of him, and Rivers’ pass was thrown into heavy coverage, with four defenders in the area.

The result was an interception, and Rivers made sure to let his OC know that he didn’t like the call. He made a “What were you thinking?” gesture on his way off the field.

It’s been a rough season for the Chargers, and that looks to have taken a toll on Rivers.
