Patriots all star DE Chandler Jones has been a unusual story the past couple days. Reports claim that he was cited by police and I quote a “confused party” as officers put it. An overdose on pills was the main headline that wrapped around Chandler and the story will unfold later on.
Class D drugs was what Mr. Jones had in his system sources believe and Foxboro police are working the case and will find answers very shortly to this weird story.
The Boston Herald gathered information about players who are supporting the star pass rusher of the hungry Patriots and had the rights to these quotes.
“We’re all going to support one another and this team. Fifty or 60 guys in this locker room, we have one another’s backs, no matter what the situation is,” special teams captain Matthew Slater said. “So, that’s our take on it. Other than that, I don’t really think it’s fair for anyone to comment on that situation because we don’t know what’s going on. It’s really none of our business.”
Added receiver Danny Amendola, “Chandler’s got a lot of great support in this locker room. He’s a great football player and we’re excited to see what he does this week.”
I personally think that this story will unfold in a few days and be the story we WEREN’T expecting. Drugs are obviously involved but I believe something else triggered Chandler to be “confused” and Foxboro police are at step 1 of this bizarre twist of events.
