Why should Dolfans care about Brady?

It’s really a simple thing. Really. Tom Brady has been suspended for four games. Tom Brady is now planning to appeal the suspension. What else is new?

From the red carpet to the gridiron, Brady has been popular on both sides. For one, he has that quote un-quote trophy of a wife, four super bowls, and countless opportunities for endorsements.

However, to Dolphins fans, he’s admired by some and mired by others.

To Dolphins fans, Brady has stood in the way of the team’s streak of bad luck that not even a pricey acquisition can stand a chance at beating the Patriots.

Surely, the 2008 team beat the Patriots, but they couldn’t beat Brady. The 2009 team couldn’t beat Brady nor could Tony Sparano until he left hollering out the door.

Head coach Joe Philbin has beat the Patriots twice, both in Miami. Tannehill beat Brady and in fact outplayed him and outclassed him in three of six contests.

However, why does Brady playing or not playing matter to Dolphins fans?

It just does.

It means the window might be closing and nearly opening for the Dolphins. It means that Brady has to cheat in order to win and the Dolphins take the high road that leads to wins.

For all intents and purposes it means the Dolphins fans cheer for the side of good rather than the darkside of the Patriots.

As a Dolfan, I do declare that Tom Brady suspended or not is as vulnerable as ever and now it’s time for the Dolphins to get in on this playoff run thing.
