The gang is about to be back together since week one, and we’re all wondering how the team is going to finish the season. Some fans are holding onto that ever so slight chance at sneaking into the playoffs, something that has never been done with a 2-7 start. The Cowboys will need to run the table and get some help along the way.
Can the Cowboys go 7-0? Realistically, I seriously doubt it, but the better question should be whether or not this team will get above .500. Losing so many games can send you into a nosedive, but a win against the Dolphins could help pull the Cowboys out of that dive if they can string together some wins. The task will be a gargantuan mission, but if the Cowboys can do something that has never been done it’ll become that of legend.
We’re going to find out what this team is about and it could come as early as this first game back with Tony Romo. Has the losing become malignant and incurable or will the Cowboys fight, claw, and scratch their way back into the division. One game at a time is the mantra, but if the Cowboys still look sloppy with Romo’s return, then the Cowboys will have a lot of soul searching and a lot of work to do in the offseason.
