Recap: Old man Ray can still shoot it

Rayallen

Ray Allen drained 6 three-pointers and tallied 27 points in the Celtics 100-92 win over the Washington Wizards.

This was not a cake walk. Washington led this game by 1 point heading into the 4th quarter. But the Celtics made the big shots. Ray and Paul Pierce (21 pts, 8 rebounds) each made BIG threes in the final 90 seconds. The Celtics made 4 of their 10 three-point field goals in the final quarter.

Greg Stiemsma was fantastic in his first career start: 21 minutes, 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Kevin Garnett (10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) didn't have the most electric stat sheet, but he was aggressive in the 4th quarter.

Another solid effort off the bench by Brandon Bass: 14 points, 7-13 FG and 6 rebounds.

Official Eli Rowe made an absolutely atrocious call on the Bass Master late in the 4th. The non-contact call resulted in three Andray Blatche free throws. If only NBA referees were allowed to consult and "pick-up-the-flag" like NFL officials.

For those who read the preview, yeah, that's right, I nearly nailed the final score.
