Enemy Chatter: Doc Rivers was the best guard on the court

Chatter

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Miami.

– No Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo or Kevin Garnett for Boston. What exactly did Paul Pierce do to deserve this?

— As for Pierce being punished alongside what remained of the Celtics, coach Doc Rivers quipped pregame, "Paul's playing right now. Maybe when he finds out who is not playing, he won't."

— Rivers wound up as the best guard on the court.

Whether you're reading the Boston or Miami blogs, there are lots of funny quips about last night's travesty of a basketball game.

There isn't much love for Norris Cole among Heat media and fans. He's no longer the player who torched the Celtics for 20 points in Game 2 of the regular season. One blogger thinks Carlos Arroyo – a guy who hasn't played in the NBA all season – would be a better option.
