The Bills ran their way to a 200+ yard day and smashed the Browns, who fall to 0-14 on the season.
For me this was a tale of two teams – one that is on a suicide mission of rebuild and the other on the mediocrity express. If the Bills win out the season, a 9-7 mark that says “we tried” will be the rallying cry for season tickets and I’m definitely not in the mood for it.
To their credit, the Bills didn’t lose to a team that was 0-13. To their detriment, they beat a team that was 0-13.
McCoy going over 100 yards and the Bills scoring their 27th touchdown rushing (a new record) were the sort of “get Fred Jackson to 1,000 yards in the snow vs Colts backups” thing the Bills do in December. So here we are.
My ennui aside, it was good to see Kyle Williams do Kyle Williams things after missing a week with a back injury (I’d say from carrying the Defense’s…nevermind) and Lorenzo Alexander / Jerry Hughes / Shaq Lawson Wyatt Family sacks continued.

I think Michael, like Mike McKenzie and Joe of our very site are right. But because I doubt that Russ will lose anything in this proposal, I don’t mind (key words – “don’t mind”) if Whaley stayed because it’s forced Russ to make a choice in support. After this anything that happens folks like Tim Graham or Jay Skurski or our folks or the folks at BuffaloRumblings aren’t gonna let him slide. That’s all I got on that one.

With each meaningless win, that’s the feeling of all – did the win vs the Packers build to anything the next year? The big comeback vs the Raiders? Nope. So until they make these games meaningful, truly meaningful in December the mehs come out.

Mr Gris brings it home. It’s a victory but it’s the hollowest kind. It’s the “Why can’t you do this all the time” sort of win that leads to hair pulling and general agita.
