18to88 Video Interview with Eric Dickerson

The 18to88 Video Interview series has been fun.  We’ve talked to players at all stages of their careers from rookie, to veteran, to Hall of Famer in waiting.

Today, we talk to Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson.  As I discuss in Blue Blood (on sale now), Dickerson’s arrival in Indianapolis transformed the Colts from afterthought to playoff team.  His was a remarkable and stormy tenure in the Circle City, and you simply cannot discuss Colts’ history without discussing Eric Dickerson.

Last Saturday, he appeared at a Fed Ex sponsored youth football event, and our crew was there to speak with him.  He finally answers the question:  where are those goggles now?

Thanks to my crew: Nate Manahan and to Chad Braham (for his video work).  Nate and Chad work for for Women’s Oncology Research and Dialogue.  You can find out more about their work to diagnose and development treatments for gynecological cancers at WORDoncancer.org.  These guys work hard to raise awareness and funds to help save the lives of women across the country. Please visit their website and get educated on this important topic.  For me one of the secret highlights of this video is Chad’s voice-over at the beginning.  Chad has done some professional voice-over work (as well as starring as “incompetent guy who can’t put water in his car” in a JD Byrider commercial), and I love his announcer voice.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the video interviews.  We’ll do our best to keep landing more of them in the near future.
