“Are You Excited Yet?”

There's a lot of people who aren't excited that the NHL is going to being in about 10 days. Look, I get it. You're soured that millionaires and millionaires are fighting for billions of dollars. I'm not here to put you down because in a sense, I'm still pissed to. Eventually there's two paths to go down:

  1. Watch NHL hockey
  2. Don't watch NHL hockey

It's as simple as that. If you're reading this and you're in the category of #1, this post probably isn't for you (actually, it is). This is for the fan who is either on the fence about the NHL or has already told themselves that they're finished with black and gold Boston hockey. I wanted to know if you guys are truly done with the NHL or if you just need a spark to get excited again.

If you're truly done with the NHL than that's your choice and its one that people can accept. This is the only one of the "major" sports in the United States/Canada that have been through 3 lockouts in the past 15 years. It's a hard sport to wrap your head around because you get so interested and invested and they rip it away from you because of money.

So I'm going to run a small series of posts called "Are You Excited Yet?" in hopes that I can help re-ignite the hockey spark inside of you.

With the Bruins potentially opening up the season on the road in the Bell Centre against the Canadiens on January 19th, let's take a trip back to the the TD Garden on February 9, 2011.

God damn that felt good.
