Destroychuk diagnosed with a ‘mild concussion’

Johnny Boychuk‘s out with a “mild concussion” — another blow to a battered and bruised Boston Bruins roster.

Here’s the hit.

You can make an argument that it’s charging since Chris Neil traveled so far to nail him, but it’s really about as clean as they come. He was in glide mode after the blue line. It might be the most legal thing Neil’s ever done. Destroycuk’s usually on the giving end of a hit like that. We can blame Pouliot for screening Boychuk of Neil. We’re going to have to assume Neil laced his shoulder pads with some Kryptonite to be able to take Super Boychuk down like that.

 
Probably a good thing the Bruins picked up a couple of defensemen today.
