Bruins have what feels like their millionth back-to-back game in the past two months and yet another matinee game which the team has been awful at (4-7-2 this year). It really doesn’t bold well stats wise for Boston, especially against a hot Penguin team that still doesn’t have Sidney Crosby.
Speaking of Crosby, he won’t be suiting up against Boston. There was talk of it and then Crosby’s head cleared up enough to remember what happened last time he took on resident goon David Krejci.
Big question is who will be in net for Boston this afternoon? Timmy has played in eight straight games. We were really expecting the Bs to rest Timmy yesterday so he’d be ready to face the Penguins today but that didn’t happen. So do the Bruins make it Turco Time against a well playing Penguins team or does Timmy play back-to-back games, his ninth straight game (fifth straight start). At this rate TImmy’s gonna burn out by St. Paddy’s Day.
Poo-Poo Pouliot status is questionable. After his stunt yesterday the team should scratch him the next few games just to prove a point. Not like he’s a huge contributor to the team at this point anyways. Damn we miss Horton and Pevz.
Hopefully someone reminded Seguin that last night to turn the clock a head an hour.
