Game Day: Bruins vs. Canadiens - F the French

Ahhh… the Canadiens. We love this rivalry. Too bad the Bruins don’t anymore.

Is it just us, or has something been different with the rivalry over the past year? The Bruins don’t seem to get up for it anymore. So far this season they’ve played some really lazy, uninspired hockey against the Habs. Maybe the new guys aren’t well versed on the rivalry. Who knows. But…

Last game seemed to reignite the flames a little bit. Krejci punched out Cammalleri. KREJCI!

Montreal fans can cheer all they want because Cammalleri got the take down but Krejci won that fight. Look at lil Mikey’s bloody face. Funny Cammalleri didn’t really connect until Krejci was on the ground. Classic Habs. Pansies.

But that wasn’t all. Nope. That P.K. Subban fellow crushed Brad Marchand. Marchand would even end up missing a few games. Then Subban slew footed Campbell after the hit and somehow Campbell got a roughing penalty. Refs are idiots. Montreal players and fans continue to be pansies.

Was that the game the reignites the fires of the rivalry? Or are we going to see the Bruins fall flat again when the stakes are raised?

After the jump… Carey Price is a douche, Horton might be out and some game day links…….

This is a four point game. A regulation win tonights gives the Bruins two points and pads their division lead while denying Montreal two points. Montreal is close. Bruins need to come out and make a statement. Who cares if it is only January. Anything less than coming out and crushing these diving bitches is a disappointment in our minds. Maybe Montreal will play like they fight and just turtle.

Boston.com is reporting that Horton may be out after leaving practice yesterday with some discomfort. If he’s in he’s getting demoted to the third line. If he’s out, in comes Paille.

UPDATE: Joe Haggerty is reporting that Horton is “very unlikely” for tonight and could be day-to-day.

Projected Roster:

Milan Lucic-Marc Savard-Michael Ryder
Mark Recchi-Tyler Seguin-Patrice Bergeron
Blake Wheeler-David Krejci-Nathan Horton/Paille
Brad Marchand-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg-Steven Kampfer
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask

Timmy T back in net tonight. A well rested Thomas spells trouble for the Canadiens.

As if you needed anymore reason to hate Carey Price….. he thinks he’s been living most of his life living in a gangsta’s paradise.
