Wheeler Actually Does Something: Bruins Take 3-0 Series Lead!

You read it right, Wheeler recorded a goal and an assist tonight, you know what that means…

Wheeler Actually Does Something: Bruins Take 3-0 Series Lead!
I swore this would happen when Wheeler started producing

Really though, Boston needed to answer back after Asham scored in the opening minutes of the game…and they did, twice.  First Wheeler proved that he wasn’t always useless, then Satan used his powers of the damned to score yet again.

Big defensive effort came from Boychuk, who sacrificed his body more than a hooker the day the troops come home.

The big story yet again was Rask, who made 34 saves on 35 shots.  In an exclusive interview Day’s Of Y’Orr had with Rask after the game, he is quoted in saying that he had come to “Make saves and chew bubble gum, but unfortunately, he was all out of gum”.  He then handed out signed copies of this:

Ok…not really, but it would be awesome if he did

The second period didn’t have any scoring, but Recchi managed to find the back of the net in the 3rd off of a Wheeler rebound.  Later on, Bergeron tossed one in the empty net for the game winner.

The game wasn’t all poops and chuckles though, the Bs lost both Krejci and McQuaid early in the first period.  Whats worse is early reports are showing that Krejci could have a separated shoulder or a broken wrist, but we’ll keep an eye on that.  It also would have been nice if the Flyers didn’t almost double our shots.  But then it would also be nice if Philly wasn’t a bunch of pissy fairies who bitch, moan, and take runs at Rask…

Oh yeah, anyone else not give a damn anymore when Paille gets breakaways?

Despite it all though, the Bruins have 4 games to get just one more win to move on to the Conference Finals.  We still have no shortage of hated for Carcillo here, and have to imagine he feels kinda like this right now:

One more…Go Bruins!

UPDATE: Looks like Krejci has a fractured wrist and needs surgery, could likely be out for the remainder of the playoffs.
