Baby Steps For Dice-K

Daisuke Matsuzaka is starting to take some baby steps, he is not making huge progress, but the way things are looking for him he will certainly take it. Yesterday he threw 32 pitches in a minor league intrasquad game, that was his first action of spring training. The next step for Dice-K, will be a major league game. Right now the plan for him is to throw one bullpen session this week, and then he will work a couple of innings in relief of Tim Wakefield this Thursday. The Red Sox are still uncertain whether if Matsuzaka will be with the Sox for opening day. My guess is he will not be ready, and with the all of the pitching the Sox have there is no need to rush him so he is with the team on opening day.
