Frozen Fenway Looks Pretty Sweet

The Boston Red Sox aren't a team that needs help staying relevant in the off season.  Matter of fact, most betting sites actually have them as the favorite to repeat again as American League champs.

But, that hasn't stopped the World Series champs from devising a plan to bring fans out to Fenway Park in the middle of winter.

Introducing "Monster Sled".

Yup…from December 28 through January 13, as part of the team's "Frozen Fenway" promotion, Red Sox Nation can take the field of their favorite ballpark, make the hike up a 20-foot-tall ramp and enjoy a ride down a 75-foot sled run.

According to reports, the hill, which sits in the shadow of the park's famed Green Monster, is the first of its kind at Fenway Park and features five separate runs.  It ends just in front of the Red Sox bullpen.

Oh, the price to sled at the century-old park?  Just 20 bucks.  Now, I'm not sure how that compares to most sled hills, but I'd be more than willing to shell out a Jackson to hang out in leftfield at Fenway Park for an afternoon.

Even in January.
