It's not delivery this year for DiGiorgio

Training camp is only a couple hours old and the Bills have their first injury of the year. The AP is reporting that John DiGiorgio out for the year. This is a big injury for the Bills depth chart considering I wrote earlier how thin the linebacker corps was. Digiorgio is a special teams ace for the Bills and started 12 games in 2008 when Poz got injured. The Bills have Pat Thomas, Nic Harris, and Alvin Bowen as their backup linebackers.

In an earlier post on Billsboard from The Buffalo News, Mark Gaughan wrote that he expected the Bills to waive DiGiorgio even before it was determined the linebacker would miss the year.

**UPDATE** DiGiorgio has been waived by the Bills for failing his phsical, so not only is he out for the year, he’s out of a job.
