- Although it’s been announced that the Tigers are calling up Casper Wells to the big leagues, no one is sure who’s place he is taking just yet. At the Detroit Tigers Weblog, Billfer has an idea, but it’ll involve a lot of traffic between Toledo and Detroit in the next couple weeks.
- Well, if this whole football thing doesn’t work out, Tim Tebow appears to have a future in baseball. Tebow took some cuts with the Memphis University baseball team, putting on a laser show in batting practice. Sadly, there’s no video yet.
- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has been pushing the NBA to raise it’s age minimum from 19 to 21. He’s holding no punches in this endeavor, saying that LeBron James would have benefitted from three years in college. LeBron’s wallet obviously thinks otherwise.

Does LeBron James punch infants and abuse animals? Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski seems to think so. Ok, it’s not quite that bad, but Woj absoultely tees off on LeBron in his latest column. As much as I don’t like him in a Cavs uniform, LeBron doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment from the national media. [via SB Nation]
