Raiders add defensive tackle

The Oakland Raiders have made a move towards shoring up the interior of their defensive line by signing unrestricted free agent defensive tackle John Henderson.

Henderson was originally a first round selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2002 draft. He spent all eight years of his career with the Jags and was named to the Pro Bowl following the 2004 and 2006 seasons. He was named an All Pro after the 2006 season. He has 336 tackles and 29 sacks.

The defensive tackle position has been a question mark for the Raiders for the past several years, and the aquisition of Henderson goes directly to address that need.
