Faulk’s value was most evident in a November game against the New York Jets. It was late in the fourth quarter. The Colts trailed 23-17 and faced a fourth-and-15 at their 33-yard line.What to do? Manning flipped a short pass to Faulk, who skittered 18 yards for a first down. A few plays later, Manning hit Marcus Pollard with a 14-yard touchdown pass that gave the Colts a 24-23 victory. It was the first of Manning’s 44 fourth-quarter comebacks and one of Faulk’s many personal highlights.
