Your Morning Dump… Where Ray tells Paul “You wanna piece of me motherf’er… YOU GOT IT!!”

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump

Celtics captain Paul Pierce took to Twitter on Monday to express his desire to square off with teammate Ray Allen in the 3-Point Shootout at All-Star Weekend. After practice on Thursday, Allen said he's up for the challenge.

"I like my chances, sure," said Allen. "I've done it before."

Pierce, the contest's defending champion, and Allen have yet to receive official invitations from the NBA, but that could change as early as the end of this week. If invited, it wouldn't mark the first time they've gone head-to-head in the event.

Back in 2002, Allen, then the defending champion, went up against seven other competitors, one of whom was Pierce, then a first-time participant. Both failed to advance past the first round, but Allen's score of 14 nearly doubled that of Pierce's 8.

ESPN Boston: Allen: "I like my chances" vs. Pierce

Oh SNAP Paul… you just gonna sit there and let Ray CLOWN you like that??  "Oh, I've done it before".

What the reporters won't tell you about was how Paul walked by the interview and Ray dropping a "BITCH" at the end of his statement loud enough for Pierce to hear… and then how they both had be separated.  Nope… the media won't tell you about that… probably because it didn't happen.

In all seriousness… I like a little competitiveness among teammates.  A little subtle smack talk is alright too.  Hell…. I'll bet these guys have already had a few 3-point contests for money during some practices.  So they're gonna have fun with it as much as we will.

Provided, of course, that these guys actually both get invited.  Otherwise, RedsArmy.com is just gonna have to pony up some prize money and get these guys to do it on an off-day.  Because hey… which of these guys couldn't use an extra $5, right?

"Looks can be decieving," West said. "I'm catching passes and dribbling, but I'm not doing anything really with a lot of force. Force definitely gives me discomfort right now."

Because of the severe weather around the country, the Celtics were stranded on the West Coast, which caused West to miss a recent check-up appointment. Until he knows more about his wrist, he isn't sure when he will be ready to return to practice. He hopes it's soon.

"We're approaching the All-Star break and prayerfully I can be ready before then," he said. "But if not, I'll definitely be ready to start the second half of the season."

CSNNE:  West eyes post-All Star break return

I'm amazed at what today's doctors can do.  Actually, let me continue that sentence:  …. for a guy like Delonte West.  I'm sure if you or I broke a wrist, we'd still be in the hard cast right now and we wouldn't have been doing things like daily bone stimulation and other accelerated healing techniques.

Just a few more weeks!

If you missed last night's episode of The Two Man Game  CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely came on and talked about, among other things, what Delonte's return would mean to Nate Robinson… and how basically that will be Robinson's chance to really prove himself as he slides over to a more natural position.

One note:  The show starts at the 18 minute mark… because I screwed up.  So if you click on that… skip ahead to the 18:00 mark to start the show.  Sherrod Blakely starts about half an hour after that.  It really was fun stuff.
