Lions Come Back vs. Cowboys Despite Not Having the Best 2 Receivers On the Field

The Dallas Cowboys should probably fire their entire scouting department. Not only did they not double team Calvin Johnson on the Lions’ game-winning touchdown, but apparently defensive coordinator Rob Ryan doesn’t even think Megatron would be the best receiver on the Cowboys roster.

Jim Schwartz took it to Ryan after the game, saying “I’m glad the third best wide receiver on the Cowboys is on our team.” Unfortunately for the Cowboys, all that offensive firepower isn’t helpful if you have the second best QB on the Lions on your team. For those following at home, I’m talking about Tony Romo, he of the TWO interceptions returned for touchdowns in the 3rd quarter.

The national media will concentrate on the Cowboys’ collapse this week, but the fact that this Lions team has come back from 20+ points down in two consecutive games tells you that these definitely aren’t the “same old Lions.”

And, as always, Jim Schwartz is fired up.
