LeBron James campaigns for Anthony Davis to join Lakers

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Brooklyn Nets

The world’s worst kept secret was essentially confirmed this week, when LeBron James shared his thoughts on Anthony Davis possibly joining the Lakers int he future.

Both James and Davis share the same agent — Rich Paul — with Davis having recently changed representation, which immediately sparked rumors of him joining the Lakers.

So when James was asked about how it would be to have Davis playing alongside him in LA — a loaded question — LBJ played right into it.

“That would be amazing,” James said, via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “That would be amazing, like, duh. That would be incredible.”

Obviously, the Lakers would have to trade for Davis if they were to acquire him, but they have plenty of young talent that could look attractive in a potential deal.

As for James’ comments, it’s almost as if Davis to LA is a done deal at this point. And LeBron is certainly “in the know” here, with Paul in his ear keeping him looped into all the talks that are going on behind the scenes.
