As we reported earlier today, via The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is under the belief that Ronda Rousey will be finishing up with the company either at WrestleMania 35 or shortly after the PPV.

“There was a decent amount of talk this past week internally, since we heard it from several people, that Rousey would finish up at WrestleMania,” reads The Observer report.

According to an update from Pro Wrestling Sheet, the report of Rousey leaving WWE following ‘Mania has been “slightly blown out of proportion”, and it’s more likely that Rousey will be taking a break from WWE to start a family with her husband, Travis Browne, and then returning at some point thereafter.

A WWE source informed TMZ that Rousey is under contract with the company until April of 2021, meaning she has two years left on her deal following WrestleMania 35. “Ronda Rousey is under contract with WWE until April 10, 2021,” a WWE spokesperson said. “Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter.”

The Sheet report adds that during contract negotiations, WWE agreed to allow Rousey to take a break from the company when she needed to, and she reportedly informed WWE officials at Survivor Series back in November that she intended to take the break following WrestleMania 35.

In a video released on her personal YouTube channel back in November, via Sports Illustrated, Rousey elaborated on her pro wrestling future, noting, “sometimes I feel like I can’t do it all. I have to pick one thing. I can’t wrestle forever because I feel like I’m failing my family. It’s rough.

“I wouldn’t be leaving home unless it was to do the most fantastic things ever and I really really do enjoy it and love it,” she added. “But all that energy I spend on the WWE is energy I don’t spend on my family.”

As of this writing, Ronda Rousey remains scheduled to face Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat match for the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 35, but that match has yet to be announced officially.
