Cal Ripken Jr. is done messing around.
It's been a just over a year since the Hall of Famer's mother Vi was abducted at gunpoint from her home in Aberdeen, Maryland and even though she was gone for just 24 hours…Ripken wants the crime solved.
And he wants it done now.
"In our minds, this is important, not only for us and our community, but for all communities," Ripken said Thursday. "We would like to get closure on this case and give all of us some peace of mind."
In an effort to find the kidnapper, the Baltimore Orioles legend former baseball star has upped the reward money from $2000 to $100,000.
"This might not be the first time he did it, and we want to make sure it's his last," Ripken added.
Joining the quest to find the man responsible for kidnapping the 75-year-old Vi Ripken from her home last July 24…none other than John Walsh. Yeah, the same John Walsh from the long-running FOX show "America's Most Wanted".
"Amongst the lowlifes that populate this country, one hundred grand is a lot of money," Walsh said. "And if someone knows who this dirtbag is, they'll drop a dime on him."
In case you're wondering, the suspect is a white guy with glasses, brown hair and in his mid-30s to mid-40s. He's about 5'10" and roughly 180 pounds. Below is some video of him.
