Another Bruin bites the dust as Dan Paille has reportedly signed in Finland. The Examiner posted yesterday about the move, with Paille signing a contract in SM-liiga to play for Ilves Tampere. Here's their report:
A Finnish hockey site reported on Dec. 2 that Paille has chosen to go to the SM-liiga team Ilves Tampere on a lockout contract. He is the second NHL player and Stanley Cup champion to join Ilves during the lockout–Maxime Talbot of the Philadelphia Flyers (who won the Cup with Pittsburgh in 2009) is also with the team.
That makes 12 Bruins who have signed overseas now. This should be an indication that this lockout is just going to go on longer. Guys like Dan Paille don't jump ship right away (and he hasn't) but when they start to sign somewhere else to keep their game fresh, there's a sense of panic.
Fuck you NHL/PA. Fuck you right in the faces.
