When the Atlanta Braves acquired Elliot Johnson, my guess is that they never expected the light hitting second baseman to do more than provide some relief to their current crop of infielders.
However…dude is quickly becoming the "go to" guy when it comes to interviews.
Over the weekend, the former Kansas City Royal did his best impersonation of Will Ferrell's Harry Caray impression. Sure, it wasn't great (my opinion…not the blogosphere's, mind you), but it gave the internet something to talk about. That said, the guy has redeemed himself.
Tuesday night, after being asked about a two-tun triple that he hit in the second inning against the Cleveland Indians, Johnson channeled his NASCAR brethren. And the result was awesome.
