Three things to ponder

1. 48-minute effort

When the Kings sleepwalk, they set themselves up to fall. DeMarcus Cousins and others have admitted this season that the team’s effort has been uneven for stretches, but eventually their actions must follow their words. As Cousins says himself, “Be a professional.”

2. Working for looks

Golden State sports the league’s best opponent field goal percentage (42.1) and ranks second in blocks. The Kings will get few easy looks in the paint, so they’ll have to swing the ball around and test the Warriors’ airtight rotations.

3. Transition defense

Anyone who’s followed the Warriors for more than five minutes knows they love to step on the gas. They lead the league in fast break points, and averaged 22 in the two wins versus the Kings. Sacramento must remain composed when facing the stampede head on.
