Typically, I’m not a big home run derby kind of guy, but this year…I’m going to change my stance. Kinda.
No, I’m not talking about Major League Baseball’s annual slugfest, I’m talking about the one that’s going to reward it’s winner with this magnificent bastard.
The Triple-A All-Star Game’s Home Run Derby participants will taking their cuts at the home of the Durham Bulls Monday at the same time their big league counterparts swing for the fences at Target Field. And while I don’t remember what the MLB Derby winner gets (is it a trophy…a truck?), who wouldn’t want to take aim at that big wooden bull in left field, all the while competing for that beautiful WWE-style championship belt?
