Is today's game Game 10 or Game 11? Fuck it, we'll go with Game 10.5 for now. Stupid snow storms…
Last time the Bruins and Sabres faced off the Bruins played like ass. The defense had more holes than swiss cheese, Tuukka Rask was left out to dry like sheets at your grandmothers house and Thomas Vanek was allowed to mollest this shit out of Rask like a bad prom date. It was awful. Thornton got concussed, Sabres fans jerked off to John Scott's picture… it was awful.
We're not expecting lightning to strike twice for Buffalo.
Since that game Bruins have gone 2-0 and have tightened up defensively, letting in only one goal against the Leafs & Habs. The Sabres went 2-3 with 22 goals let in (just over 4 GAA), though they are riding a two-game win streak. Then again, those wins came against the Islanders and the Habs who are in the middle of a giant meltdown, so take it for what it's worth. But their defense is pretty horrid. Like god awful horrid.
This time around we're expecting the Bruins to remember what happemed last time. We're expecting a tighter defensive game. But it all starts with Chara acting like Chara and the Bruins defensive team locking Vanek down. Stop Vanek, stop the Sabres. Simple as that.
We're also not expecting anyone to fight Scott. Not because they're afraid but because there's no logical reason to trade Lucic or Chara for Scott. It'd be the dumbest trade off in the history of trade offs. And the whole "Looch needs to answer for the Miller hit" is bullshit and old hat. He already answered the bell. Just because Buffalo didn't like the outcome of that doesn't mean Milan has to keep fighting. Time for those Sabres fans to move on and worry about their porous defense.

Projected Lines
It'll be interesting to see if Julien goes with Looch-Krejc-Seg line that netted two quick goals against Montreal, or if he'll stick with the usual lines and make some changes in-game as needed. We'll update below when line reports come out from the morning skate, but Jack Edwards was tweeting that Krejci centered Lucic and Seguin.
